Its been almost a year since I bought it and I wanted to take some pics after I did some mods. I have just been caught up with so many things (especially work) that I cant spend much time on the car. It doesnt help now that my brother has decided to use this car more.
It is a 2005 model Honda Civic Exi. It has the puny 1.5L engine. So it just about gets you from A to B without too much hassle. Black exterior with beige interiors. I just finished with the 45,000Kms service from Trading Enterprises and thought I will just take some pics.
Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics.
Just serviced and out
First mod - some crappy angel eyes, blacked out headlights and fog lights
Second Mod - Some new shoes
17 X 7 Advanti 38 Offset with Dunlop Direzza 215/45/17 all round
I need a drop - coilovers or springs??
So what do you guys think? What more should I do?
I havent tinted it cos I dont want it looking too black!

scrap the angel eyes/halo's, get an oem headlights...
then drop it with coilovers or Neuspeed greens..
lastly change your rims.. you can get plenty of JDM rims in sharjah..
thats if you want a clean look..

I have the OEM head lights. It is only a matter of changing them over. I might actually do it. I am tired of the crappy angel eyes.wek-236 wrote:scrap the angel eyes/halo's, get an oem headlights...
I think I will go for the Neuspeed springs. I will try and look out for some.wek-236 wrote:then drop it with coilovers or Neuspeed greens..
I just changed my rims. I bought them brand new last week. So I am not going to change them any time soon. I have the original 14 inch alloys. I think a drop would make these rims look better.wek-236 wrote:lastly change your rims.. you can get plenty of JDM rims in sharjah..
I definitely like a clean look. Do not want to be rice.wek-236 wrote:thats if you want a clean look..

My brother had this same model, same engine. I HATED it with a passion. At least yours looks better.

The Engine is not the best in the world, you can definitely say that!! Thanks for the good look comment! I need most panels fixed and painted because it has been doored and dinged all over. Looks like it was next to a bomb and got sprayed with shrapnel.Ozimandius wrote:My brother had this same model, same engine. I HATED it with a passion. At least yours looks better.
Lambo doors! yeah that will do the trick!!alexEF wrote:put lambo doors and big Mobil 1 sticker
seriously, lowering spring and a decent (simpler) rims will do...
Lowering springs definitely. Not too low. Max 1 inch. I dont think I will buy new rims.

The 1.5 is seriously not enough for it, it felt like I was driving a tank, but having said that, it had the reliability of a Hummer H1. Rock solid.

It does make a lot of noise. I get scared when I floor it cause it sounds as if the tranny or the engine is going to blow up! But I think it is only normal. I have heard similar sounds from the 1.3L Lancer.Ozimandius wrote:The 1.5 is seriously not enough for it, it felt like I was driving a tank, but having said that, it had the reliability of a Hummer H1. So far no problems but I think the AC recirculation has conked out. I need to get that checked.
I havent seen any decent skirts for this model. I need to look for some soon.imran4u wrote:I think side skirts and springs will give a decent look..

Oh yes! The civic isnt abnormally noisy. It is just the way it is.TNT wrote:Coming from a Lexus, anything will seem noisy.
