Hi guys,
After struggling for almost a year i have bought this corolla from a friend of mine, running on 4AGE engine with 5 speed manual tranny. Hunting for 6 speed currently. Considering the model 96, it needs some tweaks & body work. whereas the engine & tranny is in perfect condition. I have got lots of plans going through my mind however won't disclose unless accomplished. But would love to turn it to pure JDM most of the cosmetic parts will be removed. Rest comments / suggestions are most welcome.
Current Mods:
Sparco Replica Bucket seats
Tom's New Action Rims
Twin exhaust
Levin floor mats / rear seats
Crystal Head/Tail lamps
sparco gear knob
TRD strut
JDM lip
Updates
* (Original) MOMO club 4 steering wheel installed Donor AE101 FX GT. got it for 30 Dhs.

Nice ....
my friend he had the same corolla with matte blue foil over it plus axis black rims but now he has GS300.....
Dont make it rice by adding bodykit if you are thinking of doing so... Nazzal with nice rims is ok with it.

Now to change complete appearance of car either i should go to scrap and hunt all required parts like bumpers, rear lamps, trunk and door trims or i should get RHD and strip all required stuff and junk it for any needs in future. interior accents are painted white, which personally i dislike. So i am in need of interior parts as well.

Okay guys, I don't understand the fascination with this car, so care to elaborate? What am I missing here as it looks like the regular Corolla and the engine isn't exactly very powerful (or maybe I looked up the wrong engine on Wiki)?
Very tuneable NA engine that spins to 8,500rpm easy, screams like a banshee, has a better torque band than a period VTEC, light flywheel, light conrods, closest to a race-spec engine Toyota ever built.: Formula Atlantic baby! 100bhp/litre ain't bad at all back then, and it had variable valve timing.
Um, we're talking about a Silvertop right? Or Blacktop? Blacktop is even better; lighter flywheel and conrods.
