most of the rx-7's i've seen in the gulf have supra or skyline engines......

mx-5 is a 1.8l 4cly, the new ones are 2.0l. This is so weird, i saw this car on beach road on thursday and i couldnt believe my eyes when it drove past, such a rare car and then to see pics of it up on here :D

is the owner able to maintain the car?
i think there are hardly any rotary mechanics here.

rotary engines are said to be more fragile than piston engines. one article in Road & Track says that people boost the power at the cost of durability. and the twin turbo system is trouble prone.

personally i like the concept of rotary engines more over pistons but there are some disadvantages, mainly gas guzzling capacities of the rotary...

yeah. even a 1.3-liter rotary engine in an RX8 consumes a lot of gas. =(
