@ Neo: I'm just crawling into my collection from one day before the event and going through all the mobile snaps I got from friends around, my apologies, I'm not able to find any picture of your car... yet.
The show didn't impress me like last time - most cars were the same. Not to forget the majority of classic cars? I know I've missed many many cars and I apologize to all the owners - including the new red Abflug Zefi Supra pics everyone is asking me for (the owner called yesterday... )

if you're ever on that side of the planet hop in to the gm manufacturing plant for holdens and HSVs and you'd be surprised by what you find.. especially considering they're all for the american market so a fair bit of the parts are built out there.. god knows why when logically it would be cheaper to have it all done in the states.. yeah i was as stumped as the next person when i found outTNT wrote:The Camaro SS is not built in Australia if that is what you mean by 'SS' ^
[edit]
but just to clear up whats used in the market there.. that'd be all the luminas and the caprice and what not under the commodore and statesman name
back on topic - ahhhhhh the photos are taking ages to load up!! stupid wireless!!

looks like aluminium or steel inlay/trays to me.. last i checked they would be cut out to make al/steel mats for cars or like car floors.. but that was INSIDE the car.. and these ones look like plastic replicas that you just roll out .. well if im looking at the right photo.. o_O

Idrift, I think the new Camaro is based on the ZETA platform, the same as the VE commodore and WM Statesman. So it's underpinnings are infact Australian.
As far as I know the new Camaro was built in Oshawa, Ontario (Canada). There factory is about an hours drive away from my place - I see trucks loaded with the Camaro driving past my building all day/night. I am not sure if the same camaro's get distributed around the world but they are definitely making a shit load of them here...

What do you expect when you put in like 70 kgs at the back of your ride?
Right now the box is out for improvisation and i am really thinking how to reduce the weight.
MAybe i will do a lowering spring only up front and leave the rear as same.
Thanks for the pics GT
