Auto Cross Mods List
So ppl just wanted ur opinions for subject topic not as we know the mods level are a step ahead from the street tuner. Also do recommend the engine (keeping in mind the power to weight ratio)
If u ppl can go list wise like from the first step to the last.
Special Assistance Needed from the experienced ones.
The Car Options---- anyone of them i will be building inshallah if finalized soon.
1- CRX ED9
2- Civic EG (I know a lot has been posted on this one - but still for auto x)
3- Civic EK (I know a lot has been posted on this one - but still for auto x)
4- Starlet GT (if it is suitable for autocross)
5- any other recommendations
No suggestion for new cars as i m not interested in those but rather to build from zero.(as is my way).

All are good.
You can also get Clio, EVO, STi, GTI...the list of cars is huge.
Guess the easiest way is to built civic. Engine swap, coilovers, brakes, tires, strut and sway bars, weight reduction once again the list goes on.
In the end you have a really competitive car for autocross and no girlfriend/wife, cuz you blew all the money on the car.....
And also, autocross is boring....bwahahahahahaaha

Need to know the ff:
1. How much is your budget ?
- How much for the engine
- How much for the car
2. Which class do you want to run
Classes are for RLC Red LIne Challenge
0001-1600 Stock - S1
1601-2000 Stock - S2
2001-2500 Stock - S3
and so on and so for
but since you will be doing an engine swap you be running in modified class
0001-1600 Modified - M1 - kenny's class
1601-2000 Modified - M2 - alberto & my class - some s2000, clios
2001-2500 Modified - M3
and so on and so for
Note: Nitro is not allowed
F/i - Turbo engine will be muliplied by 1.5
example a b16 1600 engine if turbo will be in in M3 class
hope it can help

Starlet is out of the question unless you want to make it really competitive because you will be running with the big boys....not that im putting it down because one of my friend's owns a VERY fast starlet that can put evo's to shame in rolling start ofcourse. I know its potential, but leave it out.
Go EG i say, much cheaper since it will be your toy. Go B18C 98spec, coilovers and thats it 200hp, 1000KG's...what more in life?
all this also depends on how hardcore you want to go, with an engine swap you run in 'modified category' with a lot of crazy cars like the 850KG Clio with the 200hp engine, you want to figure the power to weight of that Clio? do the maths, its better than a 375hp EVO-X's P.W.R.
Its a long process to think of the right platform and you really have to sit down with yourself, your family, your bank accounts and me (or Viktor, Kenny or other AutoXers like Toleg, etc)

i think toleg beat me in the reply....eheheh
well really thanks..
when the engine
ok lets start with EG in M1 or M2 class. whichever be first option....as a beginner will go thru N/A's
Plz advise me these in orders with the brands.
1- Suspension - Recommendation and effects
2- Tires & Rims - Recommendation and effects
3- Intake - Recommendation and effects
4- Brakes - ????slotted/drilled or stock with gud brake pads
5- Torque Timer - saw in kenny's car what will be the effect
6- Mounts - Light weight Aluminum but stiffer (idling is more felt) or the stock originals
7- Clutch Plate - ??????
8- Light Flywheel - effects
I know it requires a lot of budget and a lil bit of time but is still better to screw a car and shape ur skills instead of going for the s2k's and clios, gti's etc. and screwing the car + pocket + skills (take a lot of time to get in shape) ...... i think so.
Regarding the Hardcore factor....
The only thing I remember when i sit behind the steering wheel is the rush of adrenaline in my veins.
well thanks but toleg if u can tell me the location and time so that saturday i can come and c u all performing and analyze all the details given by you.
if u can just give me a call on 050-9424366. coz don use internet in home coz of lil bros and weekend is their only days to sit down and play. (although they only play for carz--NFS and all related and share the same passion as me)
Hope to meet u soon. ppl for more advise and real action.

again Khan how much is your budget and how much you are willing to spent
ex.
Engine - USED No Warranty
b16a 4-7k
b16b 12-15k
b18c 13-18k
Car - stock
eg - 4-8k
ek - 10-18k
What i can recommend for you, run your car in stock form, build your confidence and maximize the potential of your car by modifying your skills than the car
Once you got it then moved to next step
engine power
suspension
tires
body lightining
etc... etc
by then you will good enough
Its not how good the car is the key for winning, you need a good driver as well.
good luck to you and see you there

about which car to choose
i would go for starlet for sure
as i knw the car very well , its can be lighted for 800kg or less and easy to get 200 hp or 220 hp form stock internals as i did in mine.
also can get perfect control with little things
2nd choose will be eg civic with b16b engine
